The PhraseExpress iOS App does not support bitmaps in the text. The App is not designed to create/edit macros and it would be tedious trying to do that.

Macros can be used with the App but they must be created/edited on a Mac or Windows computer. The additional PhraseExpress Network Edition allows you to share text templates from a central phrase file in a network environment. The PhraseExpress App does not support external hardware keyboards.

PhraseExpress, the Text Expander for Windows, helps you to speed up your typing tasks in any editor by saving lots of keystrokes. If that doesn't work for you, I don't have any other ideas that come to mind that would cause key stroke events to be generated so that PhraseExpress could see them. To make use of the script, you'd map your button bar to run the script, and passing in the "keyword" as the argument to the script. With such a script, you *might* be able to simulate keystrokes in such a way that PE might see them, but that really depends on how PE is implemented (and you may very well need to reach out to them to find out if there is anything they can do to help you). StrArgs = strArgs & " " & crt.Arguments(i)Ĭrt.Dialog.MessageBox "No arguments provided!" Exit Sub End If ' Send each character one by one by simulating the corresponding ' key stroke using WScript.Shell's SendKeys method.

When using the button bar feature, I assume PhraseExpress is not "seeing" the button pushes coming from my physical keyboard and therefor it fails to trigger the replacement of the text.

PhraseExpress works as expected if I type "getvpn" manually inside SecureCRT but fails if I tie the command "getvpn" to a button on the button bar using the send string option. The issue is, I would like to use the button bar to launch these commands such as "getvpn" but PhraseExpress does not "see" the command get issued within SecureCRT so it never launches. When I type "getvpn" in any Windows application it will delete the phrase "getvpn" and replace it with a phrase that was mapped to the "getvpn" keyword. I use an application (PhraseExpress) that waits for a word to be typed and replaces the word with whatever text I have pre-configured within the PhraseExpress.
